Queensland Government Announces New Grants.

The Queensland Government has just announced three new grants programs worth $25 million over two years. To put the $25m in perspective, the QLD Government already allocated $180 million in Covid-19 Adaptation Grants and $1 billion in loans to Small business.  So while any money for small business is good, this is a drop in the ocean and many will miss out.


The three Grants are the:
 

Business Growth Fund (up to $50,000 per successful applicant) is designed for high growth (20% pa growth in turnover or employment) established businesses (minimum three years of trading) to buy highly specialised equipment to seize and accelerate further growth opportunities. Applications for this fund open on the 11th May 2021, and the fund will remain open until funds are exhausted.

Business Basics Grant (up to $5,000 per successful applicant) is designed to support new and emerging businesses to increase core capabilities and adopt current best practice. The grant can be for website development and upgrades, strategic marketing, training and coaching, advisory services and planning for business continuity and succession.

Details on this grant will be available from the 17th May 2021 and applications open on the 31st May 2021.

 

Business Boost Fund (up to $15,000 per successful applicant) is designed to help established small businesses to improve their efficiency and productivity through organisational development and upgrades through automated software and CRM systems.  Details on this grant will be available from mid-July 2021 and applications open late July 2021.
