Chief Operating Officer.

Location: Sunshine Coast with 1 - 2 weeks travel per month to our Cairns office

Trinity Accountants has offices in Cairns and the Sunshine Coast and service clients throughout Australia and internationally. We have a dedicated team of 30 staff across our Bookkeeping division, Accounting & Business Advisory division, Sales & Marketing team and administration team.

About You.

This is a great opportunity for a COO looking to demonstrate their management abilities in a rapidly growing accounting firm seeking COO to be responsible for overseeing the firm’s operations, policies and procedures supporting the delivery of efficient quality service to clients. This position will report directly to the CEO.

To be successful in this role you must be able to demonstrate leadership and manage diverse business operations with the goal of sustainable growth. You will be the sort of person to truly believe in the vision for Trinity and be part of the culture.

To apply for this role you need:

  • Proven experience in Public Accounting
  • Understand the needs of the diverse business functions of the firm such as HR, IT, marketing, accounting, office services and client service deliverables
  • Excellent communication, listening and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize, plan and implement strategic initiatives and business development
  • Aptitude in decision making and problem solving
  • Positive attitude with motivational and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of and ability to integrate required technology

Role responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations and administrative processes of all departments including finance, sales and marketing, administration, facilities, IT, and human resources.
  • Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures
  • Willingness to make key operating decisions in line with the firms vision and obtain management’s buy-in
  • Insure optimum staff utilisation and development in delivering quality client service
  • Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth
  • Manage employees as the workplace culture champion to encourage high performance, dedication and retention.   
  • Evaluate performance by analysing and interpreting firm data and metrics
  • Manage all office activities and vendor relationships
  • Resolve issues and conflicts as they occur
  • Leader of internal firmwide cooperation and communications
